Storm water and sewage flooded Union Station on Friday because workers with Ellis Don, a contractor working for the City of Toronto, had removed a section of a pipe next to the station, the city announced Wednesday.
“Due to the heavy rainstorm, sanitary and storm water overflowed from the open section of the sewer at this location,” the city said in a news release.
